At one point in my life, I thought that Loneliness was only determined by a life circumstance. The older I get, the more I realize that Loneliness is just an emotional state that can strike at any moment.   Loneliness happens to all of us, which is why today, we are going to explore 4 practical tips for when you feel lonely.

In today’s episode, I share 4 practical( and actionable) tips to help you start to recognize Loneliness in your own life and equip you with some tools for being able to combat Loneliness when it strikes. Being able to navigate the waters of Loneliness requires practicing mindfulness and making a plan.  I will share with you some of the things in my life that can quickly sabotage me and make me feel stuck feeling lonely. Maybe these are some of the same things you struggle with. Or perhaps you could add some other things to the list.

  1. Acknowledge that you feel lonely What does loneliness look like? What are the signs?
  2. Take action against those things that sabotage you and move you into Loneliness. Take breaks from “greeting card” friends, certain forms of social media, or unhealthy coping mechanisms.
  3. Find your safe person to be honest with. Tell them how you’re really doing. 
  4. Find and work on your purpose.
